In Video 6, I showed you how to get mitered corners. Once you have sewn all 4 corners, you’ll need to join the ends to get a smooth finish. This week’s video shows you how. Overlapping the ends of the binding by 1 7/8″ your binding will sit flat. We are working with a 2″ strip. The formula is size of the binding strips minus an 1/8″ = your overlap measurement. Example: 2″- 1/8″ = 1 7/8″. If your binding is 2 1/2″ strip your overlap will be 2 3/8″.
