I’ve tried other hobbies, like scrap-booking, or is it book scrapping? Anyway, I went out bought all the gadgets, but it didn’t fulfill me like quilting has. So in memory of my scrap-booking stash here is the Album block. This block would make a great memory quilt; just think of the pictures you can put in the center of each block.

It’s that time of year to start thinking about the Matthews Alive Quilt Exhibit.This is an exhibit, quilts are not judged nor juried. Just a place to show off your quilts. Exhibit will be September 4-6, 2010.

During Symposium we will be debuting our new line of patterns, Floral Fling! This pattern line consists of 12 beautiful fused appliqué wall quilts. The patterns and kits will be available at the shop and in the vendor area.

This One block quilt reminds you of a stain glass window when done with Batiks. A great second quilt for those just beginning or if you need a quickie.

We recently lost one of our dogs to an unfortunate accident. We miss him dearly and our other dog, Patches, seems lost without her companion. Stop by the shop and buy tickets for a raffle quilt. Proceeds will go towards the new puppy … all the extra money will go to the Humane Society. Tickets are $1 each … 6 tickets for $5.
