It’s that time of year to start thinking about the Matthews Alive Quilt Exhibit.This is an exhibit, quilts are not judged nor juried. Just a place to show off your quilts. Exhibit will be September 4-6, 2010.

Join us on Saturday, June 12th, for our closing the Store Front Auction. The auction will start promptly at 2:00pm and end at 5:00pm. We’ll be auctioning books, patterns, notions, fixtures, and what ever is left in fabric.

Come see us and our new line of Floral Fling Patterns. Get your free gift when you visit us June 3rd through June 5th at our booth in room 9. The Quilt show and Merchants will be at the Family Life Center of Greater Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church, 727 W Trade St, Charlotte.

Join us and experience the natural beauty of the Volunteer Gap Inn and Cabins.Prepare yourself  forthe opportunity to quilt, talk, laugh, and just spend time with wonderful quilters just like you. Great rooms, Great View, Catered Food and best of all no interruptions! Arrive Thursday afternoon, and sew, sew, sew, then its Mrs. Peacock with the rotary cutter in the Barn! That’s right; we’ll be making a mystery quilt. You may bring extra projects to sew on in between or leave it up to us to show you other projects. The price includes room, food, kit for the mystery, and instruction. Leave your worries behind and have a fun, relaxing time.

Arrive Thursday mid morning, lunch will be ready for us around noon. There will also be Continental breakfast each morning. We will depart Sunday after lunch.

Passports are in, stop in at any participating shop and pick up your passport. Passports are $5 each and include a shop hop pin. All participating shops will be open from 10:00am to 7:00pm. Pick up your passports at participating shops starting on April 2nd.
11 shops, 5 days, a mystery and lots of demos. The first annual Mid Carolina Run Shop Hop will be from Tuesday, June 22 through Saturday, June 26, 2010.
It is just $5 to participate! Simply pick up a passport at any of the 11 participating shops. Have your passport stamped at each shop you visit. Make sure to leave your passport at the final shop visited. Daily door prizes at each participating shop.
Find the missing Block! It’s a mystery quilt, pick up a block clue from each shop to find the missing 12th block! Don’t forget to get your passport stamped at each shop for a chance to be the grand prize winner of over $1100.

They’re Here! We’ve all been waiting for the Bella Nonna Silk Petals, and Corinne is going to show us how to use them! Playing with silk flower petals. Join Corinne on Saturday, March 27th from 9:00am to 10:00am as she demonstrates how to make beautiful flowers using silk petals. Although this is a free demo we’re asking you to please call for reservations.

We’ll soon be receiving selected bolts from the Folklorica collection from In the Beginning Fabrics. A fantastic new collection designed by Julie Pachkis.
