Our Next Chapter …

by Aimee

After much discussion between Marc and myself, we have decided that while the brick and mortar shop has been fun, we are ready to write the next chapter in our book: OverallQuilter.com. Yes we are closing the store front on June 30th, but not the shop, so we can work on our online multimedia business.

Many of you have seen our first video, How to Make a Perfect Cut. We’ll be continuing with these instructional videos, uploading several videos each month. There will be segments for helpful hints and things I’ve learned by trial and error. There will be segments on shows … yes I do plan on doing shows; I want to see you guys too … and I’m planning on interviewing the movers and shakers in the quilting community. I’ll also be writing more posts for the blog and working on my patterns.

A constant comment that I hear is what a wonderful job we do ordering fabric and putting kits together, we will have those on the site too!

I’m so excited; this will be so much fun!

Now we do have to move what’s in the shop, so we’ll be having an auction on Saturday, June 12th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Get ready to have some fun with paddles and bidding on tables, fabrics, notions, books and patterns. We’ll move it all to get new stuff for the online shop.

Kay will continue her longarm machine quilting business through Creative Sewing and Vacuum. June 12th will be the last day of drop off at our location. After June 12th, please drop your quilt off at Creative Sewing & Vacuums in the Stonecrest Shopping Center:

7868-D Rea Road
Charlotte, NC 28277
704-542-8760

In closing, I want to thank you for the memories. Now let’s make some new ones!

Aimee – my heart is broken but I do wish you all the best writing the next chapter. Will you continue the retreats as well? I know you have several already set up – and you know how much I love them.

See you at Symposium –

Hey Barb,
not sure what will be left, I can tell you we’ll be doing demos, and have lots of samples of past and present quilts, a small quilt show of our own.

Kathy,
Retreats will go on as Planned, I’m working on Junaluska and one in Charleston for 2011.
