Camp Overall

Calling all kids 8 years and older. Join us for 2010′s Kids Summer Camp. This year Lillian Giles will head the camp. Sign up for 1 session or 2 sessions, projects include a draw string bag, floppy hat, PJ shorts, a quilter frog and a small quilt.

Dates and projects as follows:

• Session One: July 19th through the 22nd. Projects include a draw string bag, Floppy Hat, and PJ shorts. Class will start at 9:00am and end at 12:00pm.
• Session Two: July 26th through the 29th. Projects include a stuffed quilter frog and a small quilt. Class hours are also 9:00am to 12:00pm.

We’ll repeat the sessions in August, dates as follows:

• Session One- August 2nd through the 5th
• Session Two- August 9th through the 12th

Each Session will be $75 plus kits. Basic sewing supplies include the following:
Sewing  Machine in good working order, please bring manual, Glass Head Pins, small scissor, seam ripper, and neutral thread

Kit fee for Session One is $35, kit includes all fabrics for each project
Kit fee for Session Two is $35, kit includes all fabrics for frog and top of quilt (backing and batting not included).

We o ask that the student know how to operate their sewing Machine. Please make sure the student has had a snack prior to start of class.

T-Shirt Quilt

Dates & Times:

• Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 10:00am – 1:00pm (pre-planning on March 3 from 10:00am – 11:00am)
• Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 11:00am – 2:00pm (pre-planning on March 6 from 10:00am – 11:00am)

Description: Are your closets overflowing with t-shirts that hold too many memories to throw out? Ruth will show you how to preserve those memories in this wonderful t-shirt quilt.

Peppermint Cottage

Winterscapes and City Girl Holiday

We just received 16 bolts from the Winterscapes and City Girl Holiday collections from Benartex. They will also be available on our new online shop by tomorrow (Tuesday, June 23rd). The picture above shows 4 different fabrics from the collections.

Father’s Day

Calendar

Update 06/25/2009: Fixed the main calendar page, but the sidebar calendar broke   Fortunately, developers are already working on the “bugs”.

I just upgraded the site and noticed that the calendar is not working properly. There are classes scheduled in July, August and September, but they are not showing in the calendar. I’m working on a solution. In the meantime, you can view the print calendar for upcoming events.

Quilting in the Woods 2010

Quilting in the Woods at Bethelwoods Camp & Conference Center. Thursday, January 7th – Sunday, January 10th, 2010. Begins at 10:00am on Thursday and ends at 4:00pm on Sunday.

Activities:
This is your weekend to do what you want to do – quilt, knit, read, nap, eat, rock on the porch, visit with other attendees, finish projects, start new projects – whatever. No “formal” classes, a few demos, some optional activities. Door prizes! Fun! Fellowship!

Meals:
We will start with lunch on Thursday and continue through lunch on Sunday. These meals are included in the cost of the weekend. Be sure to let us know if you have any special requirements.

Accommodations:

We have reserved Cabins 1-4 for the retreat. Each cabin has two bedrooms. Each bedroom has four bunk beds and a bathroom – up to eight people to a bedroom. If you have a group of friends who want to share the same bedroom or cabin, please indicate this on the registration form.

Cost:
$275 for the entire weekend. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due with registration. The balance owing is due on the dates on your registration form. (Note: For this year’s retreat, payment would be due in full.) Please keep a copy for your records. Please note that the retreat is open to adults and children 8 years or older. The price is the same for both adults and children.

Refund Policy:
If you find that you cannot attend and desire a refund of the balance of your fee left after the non-refundable deposit, we will require that you find someone to take your place. Please check with us to see if we have a waiting list.
